Playing Possum Bandana
This 18” square bandana features a fun menagerie of biota native to southeastern sandhills. The eastern hognose is a snake famous for rolling over on its back to try to convince predators it’s already dead. This defense mechanism is shared with the virginia opossum, which is why the behavior is called “playing possum”. also featured are co-occurring native plants: spigelia wildflower and vaccinium (wild blueberries). lastly, I added a toadlet.
